We ARE Tanks!
I was gonna post this in the 'Basic guide to playing this class needed for sticky!' sticky, but I didn't wanna junk it all up with my biased crap, so I decided I'd make a new thread.

I gotta disagree here, Yan. Sins in PvE CAN tank as long as they aren't the primary tank. As in, you got a warrior to hold the majority of the aggro, and you stay near him and grab all the dudes that get through. See, once Critical Agility came out, which improved the Sin's supposedly crappy armor (70=80-10. Plus, we get 15AL from Nightstalker's), there's been no reason not to stay in battle for as long as needed. We've got great blocks, with high armor (~r6 SS rank for 20AL from CA + Nightstalker's gives you 105AL, more than a warrior vs. elemental damage, and more than a hammer warrior vs. physical damage), and some great survival skills like WoPerfection. No, we're not an uber-tank, but we can hold our own on the frontlines, and we do a helluva lot more damage than any tank warrior out there. And hey, this build is proof of how well we can tank. I use my general MBlossom build (same thing, but with a run skill instead of MR) for farming any melee foes. If a the most powerful general PvE Sin build can also go out and solo areas (not to mantion Shiro), that's saying something about our tankability.

what is this? do you know what a tank is? a tank absorbs all the damage and all the aggro for an entire team. you have "tank" confused with "melee character."
also, if you ever call my sin a tank again im going to be angry. and you wont like me when im angry.

Sorry Coloneh couldn't resist your comment there. :P
Anyways Warriors can take the most damage in my opinion, sins can tank just not as good as warriors. Assassins are made for fast kills, hence the name afterall.

What a crappy thread. You really don't need a "secondary tank" if your monks are halfway decent. And if they're not, you die anyways if things leak through your main tank.

Tanks are baed. Melee characters should kill stuff and that's it.
Casters can survive anything in pve with skills like [skill]aegis[/skill], [skill]protective spirit[/skill] and [skill]ward against melee[/skill]

You can make almost every character into tank-like crap, even monk. Why though? Assassins are for killing, not tanking.]
I'm sure you'll be able to drive your fridge if you attach some wheels and shitz. But we have cars for that.

All proffessions can tank. The question is, why would you want to, since in 99% of cases in the game, tanking fails hardcore, even in PvE.

eh.. yes a sin can tank.. but you are so vulnrable to enchantment strips that its not ever funny. I use mystic regen, WoP, Crit defences, crit agility to lessen the damage to myself so my monks can focus thier energy to keeping the party clean and healed rather than pouring it all into keeping me alive.
if i want to "tank" with my sin i go for perma shadowform, and then i have not much offence.. but i'm invulnrable to most damage.

Hell, it's PvE. Anything can tank, it doesn't mean it's good.
Anyways the whole sins can tank debate is old. It brings flames, trolls, kitty pictures and apparently hulk ones too.
